Autumn Feast

It’s pretty easy to say…

…this may have been one of my favorite evenings in a very long time. We hosted a group of old and new friends for a dreamy Autumn Feast together in our barn, and everyone brought food and deserts to share. Don’t sleep on potlucks — we love a potluck!

I’d been dreaming up this gathering for weeks in my head, knowing that most of the decoration and inspiration would be foraged from our backyard and property. And while taking the time to craft these details and artistically hang tree branches over our table proved tricky (being a new mom of 3), I started a week out, gradually doing different tasks. One night I made the name tags, the next night I hung the trees overhead; other times I would sneak out during naptime to cut branches and grasses.

But purposeful details truly matter, and our friends felt enveloped by them. Walking in to a magical scene of warmth, lights and thoughtfulness on a chilly Pacific Northwest fall evening was the hug everyone deserved. Many of us have walked through some tumultuous times together over the last couple years, and being at a table together was special—so special I almost decided not to share anything on the internet anywhere. However…too many people asked for the links to the plates I used to not share a few links!

I hope some of these tones and textures can inspire your gatherings this harvest season. Some of the items I used are linked below the gallery!

Remember, it’s not about impressing people, it’s about the beauty of belonging.

Here are THE plates.

These seriously blew everyone’s minds! One of the best entertainment purchases I’ve made all year.

Sleek, classic candle sticks

Can’t go wrong.

Dried Orange Slices

I used some I had already dried last Christmas, but if you don’t have time for that process these were a beautiful addition to finish off the place settings and cocktails.

Modern Wine Glasses

Without breaking the bank, these have been some of our favorite wine glasses. Sleek, thin, slightly edgy — an easy win.

The Best Placemats

(even great for kids)

Rose Gold Plastic Silverware

Everyone thought they were metal until they picked them up! The rounded details give a lux look.

Cafe Lights

Necessary everywhere, in my opinion. We’ve purchased these many times in white and black for different spaces. We always prefer C9 bulbs over LED.

Unbreakable? Yes please.

Soft Linen-like Napkins

With a variety of colors to choose from, these were a great addition to level up the napkin vibes.

Cups cups cups.

These were perfect both for serving soups and drinks. They gave a more organic and natural texture to food and drink stations.

Ribbed Candles

I’m loving the current ribbed trend! Added glow and texture made for an easy win.

Serving Bowls

We’ve had this for 12 years, and it has been a favorite serving item. It’s so good, Crate & Barrel never gets rid of it.

Drink Canister

Simple, beautiful way to serve drinks.
